Eden Hideaway is a luxury, contemporary chalet with a private wood fired hot tub. It has a wall of glass all the way a long the front on the south side of the chalet which makes you feel you are outside! The only thing to disturb you is an owl hooting or tuneful notes from the songbirds.
The double room is light and spacious with a wonderful view and the king-size divan bed is splendidly comfortable. There is a door onto the decking.
The twin bedroom is at the other end of the chalet is small and light with a door onto the decking.
Shower room is smart with an abundance of hot water. Also an out-door shower!
Between the bedrooms is a large, light space with a corner sofa, smart TV, wood burner, dining area and kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, dish washer, coffee machine, toaster.
Outside there a wonderful view over the Tweed valley to the Cheviot Hills on the horizon. Whatever the season there is always a glorious view. In summer the sunflowers add colour and in the autumn they seed and feed lots of birds. Relax in the hot tub under the stars or dawn or dusk and you will never tire of the view. Charcoal BBQ, swing seats and garden furniture.
Meals can be delivered if you would like to take a break from cooking during your stay. There is a tennis court on the farm if you are feeling energetic! (tennis coaching available), lovely walks beside the River Eden, where you will see organic sheep grazing and spot otter, kingfisher, swans and deer in the woodland. On the farm we grow organic oats and flowers which are available to buy in the tiny farm shop along with fresh eggs and other produce.
Kelso is 4 miles away and is an old market town with cobbled square and lovely shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes galore. Kelso Abbey, Floors Castle café and shop, Mellerstain House are all worth a visit. The Scottish Borders countryside and all its Border towns will impress you.
Northumberland is to the south with its lovely coastline. Bamburgh beach is special and is a scenic drive to get there. Berwick on Tweed has wonderful beaches just half an hours drive.
Facts about this holiday accommodation in Kelso. A laundry in a wooden shed by the car park shared by all three lodges, includes an iron, ironing board, washing machine, tumble drier and a washing line. A gate into the field in front and from there you can enjoy the river walk, birdwatch or have a game of tennis.
