Lots of people try to attend the annual Chelsea Flower Show in London where growers display their finest plants and flowers. Even the Queen usually makes an appearance. Finding somewhere to stay for these big London events can be difficult, hotels tend to charge premium rates during buy times.

Another way of attending such an event is to rent a holiday cottage for a short break or a week within travelling distance of London and coming in for the day. The flow show is a one-day event for most, so why not make a holiday of it and stay in a country cottage in the Cotswolds or East Anglia and combine your trip to the Chelsea Flower Show with an English country holiday. So much pleasanter!

This could be the opportunity to visit other famous English cities during the same holiday; the cities of Oxford and Cambridge are under an hour’s train journey away, or you could stay in Bedfordshire and visit Woburn Abbey and Safari Park. There are lots of exciting possibilities.
