The long distance footpath for walkers, the Speyside Way, runs from Spey Bay on the Moray coast to Ballindalloch plus an optional diversion to Tomintoul. The path keeps close to the River Spey, famed for its salmon, and takes walkers through forest and unspoilt scenic countryside providing endless opportunities for spotting wildlife, discovering wildflowers and becoming more acquainted with the flora and fauna of this part of Scotland. The route does not have too many challenging hills making it suitable for most people with reasonable fitness.
